06/01/092009 Chesapeake Bay Blues FestivalWhat an awesome event in beautiful Sandy Point Park, Annapolis, right on the bay! Beautiful locale, beautiful people, beautiful music! It was quite windy, but we managed with many thanks to Karen "the hat lady" and her son for rescuing us when our tent started to take off for OZ on Saturday evening. 07/23/08Linganore Reggae FestivalLast weekend, several of us spent the weekend at the Reggae Festival at the Linganore winery. We were the last vendors to arrive -- we are still learning about all these events, and it turns out we were completely wrong about when the gates opened. Fortunately, it didn't take long to get our tent looking like this: However, it didn't take long until our tent was all full and started to look like this instead. On Saturday, our new friend Erin who bought many many skirts from us during the xPoNential festival came down to get more skirts from us. She also shwoed us her new purse, which she had made out of one of the skirts she'd bought and decided wasn't quite the right skirt for her. We were so impressed by her creativity, I couldn't resist putting her new purse here. Both days were hot and sunny. We didn't have to worry once about whether or not there might be rain. The music was very nice, all weekend. This coming weekend I will be at a balloon festival in New Jersey. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the balloons, and I hope that we have as much fun there as we had this weekend! 07/14/08XPoNentialWe had a spectacular time at XPoNential this past weekend. Even when we were setting up, we knew we would have a lovely weekened. Our view of the water and Philadelphia was lovely, and we got a nice breeze off the river. We felt truly silly when we all forgot our digital cameras, so I can't show off any pictures of our booth. We were so busy all weekend that we barely had time to eat. We sold skirts by the light of the orange park lights and a camping light. All in all we had a lovely weekend and are looking forward to coming back next year and going to more festivals that were this spectacular. 06/08/08Harmony Fest - Day 2The fair today was busier than yesterday, and you could tell at our stand. Our tent kept looking like this, all full of people trying on skirts. We had one customer who was so happy that she danced with our skirts just outside our tent. It was like free advertising! And we were reminded just how cute the little girls look in the small skirts. They make great dresses for toddlers! This little girl was so happy with her dress, her mom bought it for her and she left in it! 06/07/08Harmony Fest - Day 1We arrived at the fairgrounds probably close to 10 in the morning. After several hours, we had the tent all set up and lovely, and looking like this: We had several mannequins up, all with different dress styles tied on them. Everything seemed to be moving slowly, today but the weather was lovely, and the skirts were beautiful. I will blog more tomorrow as I'm sure more will be going on tomorrow! --Tori :: Next Page >> |
